Darlinghurst Terrace

Working with heritage homes and terraces is something that Roth excels at. Beginning with a dark and damp space, Roth was tasked with bringing in light and warm and opening up the small spaces. By punching holes in the ceiling, long and fluid lines of fresh and vitamin D rich light begun filling the home. With the new light came a new view point, a perspective of the above building and neighbouring property, both beautiful examples of heritage.

Rather than ignoring the historical background of the home, Roth only enhanced it. By leaving key and core elements of the various rooms and integrating clean and soft materialities into the mix, a beautiful and harmonious family home was created, extending the life time of the structure itself and creating the perfect space for a wonderful live to inhabit.
